In general. There's a lot of "epic" games I couldn't care less about.

Ah. Well, to each their own I guess but to me, the mother series is one of the best, for multiple reasons. The witty dialogue being one.

An example:
"At times like this, kids like you should be playing Nintendo games." — Captain Strong

Then again, this was 1985 so take it as you will.

Edit: can't find any right now,. as my computer sucks and I am at school but trust me, earthbound is worth a try. You might even want to play through it and through Mother 3 (The release name it Japan.).

I don't think the sequels will be worth it, if they're like the first game.
