Not too overpowered in my opinion. It's just how you use it. Besides, it's just made out of green algae.

I killed plantera without taking any damage with the chlorophyte shotbow & frost armor, it was on Xbox 360 aswell so I could barely see her

Like I said, it just how you use it. Not putting a care in the world will probably lead to your death. Also, frost armor is pretty good due to the frost burn debuff.

It's pretty powerful if you compare it to the Hallowed Repeater. Shotbow does over double the DPS, quite a lot for a next tier weapon.
