well, I've never (or rarely?) seen this amount on other profiles, whether they're populair or not.

Well, guess this is pretty random. I've seen people congratulating XenoCat for 4k likes. And this mostly works in smaller amounts of them.

It's just as unnecessary as boasting about the quantity of likes you possess.

Better milestone would be over 9000 likes, if so.

Either way, it's practically spoonfeeding the egotistical and cluttering the 'New Profile Posts' section with spam.

Not once have I boasted about the number of likes I have. In fact, I usually frown upon those who are so content over some pixelated number that they begin erupting in orgasms.

Pixelated, that does somewhat sound weird from you. Puns and these things. If someone was going to spam my profile with congratz about amount of likes, I would make a separate post for that and let people comment under it.
