You don't have to make a new status every second, you can just comment on the one that already exists unless the new status has a different topic.

This isn't a bad thing to do, it's just that it's flooding the whole "new profile posts" tab in the home page and I wanna find statuses to lurk on easily it's not really useful to anyone...
