Actually, it is damn small, barely reaches halfway into the Underworld. You can see a huge Corruption Chasm formed at world creation to your right.
A big Dungeon would be the one in my Crimson world, reaching thin into the Underworld, missing by only some 100 blocks. Note that both of my worlds are Medium-sized.

Damn. I guess it's just the way the picture was taken making it look larger than it really is. If you wanted to show it being small, you should've made an image of your whole map and just made a note of the dungeon in the status.

But you're right about sizing the map before taking the screenshot. I just like to zoom out the minimum possible so the map shown is comprehensible.
