And I died on the first day. I couldn't defeat a vulture with a copper shortsword. (This is a normal mode btw)

Then I crafted my cactus sword, and I defeated him. Sadly there was corruption after the desert.

So I turned around and I went across by snow biome. Also, no caves found at all. Fortunately, right after the snow biome there was a giant tree with a chest, so I went there. I got down the root, and there was a snow cabin. Blizzard in a Bottle! Yay!

A skeleton miner spawned on the left, and lighted some thorium ore. Picked up, I tried to get out, but it turned night-time so I stayed in the root with my guide in the chestroom.

So, it turned out to be very easy to cave in a snow biome on normal mode. I caved a bit, and I get out. Passed the desert, I got into purity and found another large tree with a chest. This time there was a one block wide tunnel below the tree root. Enchanted sword! On warrior playthrough! That's a great start.
