with savage jho everything is a pin attack

I like Savage Deviljho, but when it's G-Rank and you're also fighting Yian Garuga, just no.
So I ran out of Whetstones. I decided not to fight it after Garuga got away.
(Also, I brought my Dual Blades by accident, so that may have contributed to my failure.)

To be honest, I kind of forgot.
The only other Seregios Weapon I've used is Altair, and I haven't used that in ages.

Also, Dual Blades against Savage Jho.
Don't think it would work.

you'll know because the outline of the sharpness bar thingie is a yellow colour. means it self sharpens.

I never noticed that. The game just said to me, after I beat Seregios, "Seregios weapons sharpen themselves", and that's how I found out.

I do have the seregios DBs but I hardly use them
