My country doesn't celebrate Halloween, so I'm kinda out.

Halloween seems to be more of an American holiday as far as I know. If there's other countries that celebrate it, then I am not really up to date about it.

My birthday is a couple of days before Halloween; that's how I can tell that it is close.

Halloween has its origins from Ireland IIRC. Some European countries ( such as UK or Germany ) also celebrate it.
