Belief is a part of it yes but the main thing is that you must know what you are going will work and you must appreciate what you are going. You will get nothing going into it thinking "this is silly it's not going to really do anything".

Also stop trying to use love spells. Those are binding spells. You are attempting to bind someone to you against their will and if you manage to make it work you better be damn sure that person is right for you. Otherwise you are going to have a very big problem.
