I'm not quite sure about absolute favorites, but if you want something truly terrifying, try SCP-2935. One, not much is really known about it, it just exists and does what it does. Two, the sheer range of what it does. Everything. That's how the author put it, if it comes to mind, it got hit by 2935's effects.

It's not, the foundation is essentially one massive role play like thing. It's a massive universe(es) with a crap ton of lore and stuff (usually) revolving around a massive foundation that specializes in containing and controlling anomalies. The warnings aren't serious, just part of the atmosphere building.
