I got braces last Wednesday. Pretty torturing since you can't eat everything you like

Just so you all know that broken braces thing is not a joke

I personally didn’t exactly follow the rules for what not to eat. I usually just crunch things slowly and carefully and take it easy with squishy things. I do get them off in a few months, so that will be nice.
