Eastern/oriental dragons (though I find it hard to call them dragons and don't really find them as cool as actual dragons) are also called noodle dragons, or just noodles.

Not officially but enough people call them noodles that it's generally accepted to call them noodles. (And as I said, I find it hard to call those things dragons, because to me they're not dragons. (Or wyverns for that matter but that's what the game mistakenly calls them.))

The developers made them so whatever they are called is correct.

They are not wyverns, just that the game has them called such. Real wyverns are as I described before in this chain.

They don't have to be a real wyvern, they are still wyverns because that is what the developers named them.

That is simply what they are called in game (and as result often by the community, for example you right here), but by appearance they are noodles.
