It's the general consensus that Dark Souls 1 is a far better game than Dark Souls 2.

Although, I don't think that Dark Souls 2 is a terrible game in its own right. It just doesn't reach the heights of its predecessor, imo.

DS2 lacked the atmosphere, the level design, and scary as 
bosses that DS1 has. I breezed through DS2 and have no real desire to play it again. DS1 oth, currently playing again (and suffering for it, lol)

DS2 "has better gameplay", meaning more and different weapons/magics.
DS1 doesn't suck.
Demon Souls is even better to play imo.

Dark Souls is fantastic, II just didn't grip me enough doing research on it. The guy who was largely responsible for the first Dark Souls is working on a new project, Bloodborne, which basically looks like it's gonna be Dark Souls: Gothic/Victorian Horror Edition (or, as a Magic: The Gathering player, I've taken to calling "Innistrad Souls"), which I'm pretty hyped for.
