long story short he shoved a dong in it

Every time i open Terraria, I can chose my character, but then when i chose my world it crashes and then says that windows is searching for a solution, and then it will say Windows has a problem and will notify me if there is a solution. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Right click the game's title in steam and select properties.
There, click local files, click on verify integrity of game cache. Tell me if it still does what ever it does

One file failed to verify and will be reacquired. I have tried again, it still does not work, but i guess that it may take some time

PC specs? Tower or laptop? are any other games working normally?

It is a brand new Lenovo All-In-One.

Installed Memory: 4 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Windows 8.1
Wildlife Park 2 works fine on it, i am going to try and see if Zoo Tycoon 2 works today

Those are pretty old games, do you have anything that might be a bit more tense on your PC?
also I can't really figure out if it's a tower or laptop, by the way, graphics card?

Tell you what, if you feel adventurous, try opening up the local game files in the steam folder.
From there, cut the entire Terraria folder and place it somewhere else.
Try launching it via steam, it should download a fresh game installation. Your player and world info is located elsewhere in your PC. Try launching it
