A burning sensation is perfectly normal, a stinging sensation is not.

I agree with @FederalGoose, you need to evaluate your form and make sure you're doing it properly. Good form is far more important than heavy weight.

I absolutely love the Burning sensation. Just don't chase it too hard.
All the Burning sensation is caused by a buildup of lactic acid, which is normal.

If this is your first time working out in a while, be ready to be sore. From there you can practice. You want to work out and feel the burn, but not so much that you'll be very sore the next day.
