On Mobile you only need to kill one mechanical boss for Planteras bulbs to spawn. They will spawn slowly over time. If you can't find any, wait a few in game days until they spawn. To get pirate maps you have to kill enemies in the ocean biome (basically the edges of the world). ~;)

It's supposed to kill you if you use it twice in 8 seconds. In the Mobile version, it kills you whenever you use it, even if its the first time using it.

Mine spawn heaps on the surface, I have a farm for them (accidental, was an invasion arena but works on mimics as well). I just flattened a mountain, but left the natural background walls there. Mimics spawn, and die.

I've seen heaps of mimics. I even have a farm for them. (Accidental, was supposed to be a pumpkin moon obliteratior, but now functions as a rain/blood moon/pirate/frost legion/goblin/solar eclipse/basically everything obliterator instead. The funny thing is, it doesn't even work well on pumpkin...

Try planting glowing mushrooms down. It worked for me, he came in soon after.
