There's two places I'd suggest checking out, sorry if this has gone off-topic slightly. Neither requires character sheets. AHSISAT (A House Somewhere in Space and Time) or TLRPPW (The Last Roleplay Post Wins). The latter has ongoing story and is generally occupied by the same three or so people...
