I've been playing multiplayer with a friend and the items appear to be out of sync. Sometimes he will receive a late game chest piece from a random enemy drop and when he tries to show it to me it becomes Smooth Coal. Any idea why a bug like this might be happening?

I've been trying multiplayer with a friend and whenever we use the early magic spells (ie: pierce or magik staff) the enemies health repeatedly resets and they teleport around. Is this related to the normal enemies disappearing glitch or is this another issue?
