PS4 3 PLAYER SPLITSCREEN NOT WORKING

Been looking forward for this update for a long time. Finally a few friends and I picked it up but realised the 3rd player cannot join? TELL ME they didn't remove more than 3 player splitscreen and moved it to 2 players only.
 
4th AND 3rd player cannot join splitscreen, only one player can join for splitscreen. Why?
 
I haven't played anymore than 2 player splitscreen, but are you sure your friends are all using different accounts?
