Game Mechanics Attaching Banners to Trees and Branches

We are always getting banners in the woods, from slimes, zombies, you name it, but it's always dangerous to place it, as you have to place a platform, then the banner.

Proposal
Consider being able to place a banner on a tree stem, or branch.

What would this feature achieve?

• Less tedious and dangerous if you want to place banners in the woods.
• No more floating platforms after cutting down trees that also block new trees from growing.

I'm glad a suggestion that's 40 days old can still get noticed

Now that I look at this again, I see that I was not very good at explaining myself. We were always getting banners in the woods from slimes, zombies, and you name it, but it's always dangerous to place a platform and then the banner. It would be nice to be able to place the banner directly on the tree stem, or even on the branch. This would also prevent strange floating platforms from appearing after cutting down the trees and blocking other trees from growing there.
