Bug with items?

I was using my Wall of flesh arena to kill a hallowed mimic, but when i killed the mimic, it's drop ( the Daedalus Stormbow) phased through the ground and fell into the lava. Video of the glitch happening

Does items ignore blocks when they try to get in your inventory? I guess the stormbow moved down because of it's large size, putting it's center above yours.

This isn't a bug. It's just a side effect of the fact items ignore blocks when trying to get in your inventory, which got filled before the bow could get in, so it stopped trying to get in there and fell through the blocks it was already in.
