Sadly, there are a LOT of sorting that makes no sense at all.
It's because, last I've read at least, the devs have them sort by rarity value.
Which makes it a big mess when you have various items with different modifiers all mixing together in the weapons/tools chests.
And of course, when it comes to even things like this with distinctive categories, you'll end up with random other things in-between them.
It'd be great if it was category/type, THEN rarity... but sadly that's often not what we get.
