I have invented (probably, couldn't find any sort of trap like this on the forums) a funny trap, which I call an "Ambush Trap", with this variant being called "Feather Storm". If a player walks into a certain area, a metric ton of harpies appear, shooting god knows how many feathers. It will probably lead to someone dying, and the best part is that it persists through a player's death, though it is possible to thin their numbers. It's main drawback is the cost required.
This is 16 harpies. 16 harpies doesn't sound like a lot, until you realize that the maximum amount of harpies allowed to spawn in space is 15, which is during a blood moon. Not enough for you?
