Is endgame mage or endgame ranger better?

I have been a magic user since 1.2, and I would say that endgame mage is better due to the Nebula buffs and wider variety of weapons, along with weapons that apply powerful debuffs.
Before rangers say "I can do that too!" you have to enter your inventory and swap bullets/arrows , we just swap weapons with either a push of a button or the scroll wheel.

I think that question is a bit more complex than most people have it
I'm not sure which of two classes dishes out most dps possible but I'd argue that mage is far nicer and easier to aim while killing enemies, pretty much anything besides moonlord goes down so fast that mana sustain is not an issue
