Is there a way to reduce particles?

ok so when I say reduce particles I mean reduce them by a bit, not completely. I used a couple mods to see if I could disable them but they just took them out completely
I wonder if there is a way to set max particles or something
I ask because my game is lagging when im close to big structures or when there are stuff like fireworks



I guess its my pc? but I dont think I can buy a new one anytime soon...

yea.. terraria runs way better on my phone even tho it has worst specs than my pc

phone: constant 57-60 fps
pc: mostly 7-20 something fps

Hey Ender,

I have a similar issue and want to completely disable particle effects caused by other players.
Can you tell me what mods you used? You mentioned there are some.
