PC Is there any way at all for Terraria to support freesync/gsync in the future?

For as long as I have been playing on PC (since 2019), Terraria has never worked on freesync/gysync I've tried on windows and linux, since games like Factorio (which also uses a graphics framework and is capped at 60fps) supports freesync/gsync fine (on both linux and windows), is there any hope for progress regarding this issue?
