ohhh that makes senseThese are arbitrary numbers, and only exist as an example.
A 1/100 drop rate is equal to a 1% drop rate. However, 1/100 is not a garuntee that you will obtain the item within 100 attempts. It simply means that you will have a persistent 1% chance to obtain the item each attempt. As such, an item with a 1/100 (1%) drop rate could potentially take you +1,000 attempts.
I’m not a math dude, but statistically speaking 1% means 1 in every 100, so the first numbers seem a little off. And having a negative percentage isn’t possible. If you have killed 100 saucers and they dropped none, and assuming the 1% chance from the prior example, you would have a (99/100)^100 or ~36.6% chance of such unluck. Now, if every one had dropped a key it would have been a (1/100)^100 or ERROR [my calculator can’t handle the number but I think it is 1e-10000% chance].
You don’t know how exponents work do you? 1e-100 is 1%, 1e-10000 is 0.01% so my math was off it would be 1e-10000000… [idk the actually number but it ends up with a percent that is infinitesimal].I’m not a math dude, but statistically speaking 1% means 1 in every 100, so the first numbers seem a little off. Witches broom is expert exclusiveThere is the alternative such as the witches broom and if you are angry about one you can try the other.
