Working as Designed Nintendo Pets not working

I think it happened once hardmode was unlocked? Or perhaps when I used the item which unlocked an extra accessory slot? Either way, no pets will display anymore, no light pets either. I was on journey mode, celebrationmk10 seed.
Edit: I tried to load into different maps, but still, no pets for my character anymore

You might have visibility toggled off for the pet slot - would you be able to take a screenshot of your equipment page?

(If this turns out to be the issue, you can toggle its visibility back on by using the “Show” binding.)

Oh wow.... I feel really small right now. I dont know how it happened, but you are correct. They were toggled off.
