Version: 1.4.4.9 (2nd update, there's no option yet)

Using the smart cursor to place palm saplings on sand in either the ocean or desert will place the saplings with a 3-tile gap in between instead of the minimum required 1-tile gap. This happens at any elevation (tested at ocean level up to space). When a tree has grown, the smart cursor will place saplings next to it at a 2-tile gap (the same as gemcorn trees, except palms have no branches).

I'm testing palm tree growth (in the ocean and desert) and trees are growing fine next to each other when manually placed with 1-tile gaps in between. Desert trees are even growing tangled up with each other like normal.

This change happened some time between the middle of 1.4.4 and now, as I used to be able to place with 1-tile gaps around a month ago.
