At last, after a grueling battle, the Moon Lord falls, exploding into a shower of light and loot. These items are amazingly flashy, supremely powerful and... rather useless? You've already faced everything Terraria has to throw at you, so where would these godly new tools shine? As you stop to ponder, you are suddenly filled with an inexplicable sense of dread. You can't help but feel that by ending the Moon Lord, you've unleashed an even darker horror upon the world. Something big is coming.

Here's my attempt at giving the player something to do after defeating the Moon Lord in the shape of a cosmic themed Boss Rush event, taking them through one final gauntlet of upgraded versions of the bosses we all know and love. Please note that the thread is heavy WIP!

As the Moon Lord is defeated, the

Cosmic Cultist will appear in your town at the next midnight. She acts somewhat like the Traveling Merchant, in the sense that she doesn't need an empty house to spawn. Unlike the TM, however, she won't despawn at the end of the day, instead prefering to hang around until the player makes use of her services.

The Cultist herself offers little explanation for her presence or additional information; when spoken to, she will simply state "They have nearly arrived." Other than 'exit', she offers the player the option to 'Begin'. Once the player clicks it, the Cultist will despawn, the skies will turn bright and full of nebulous stars, and, after 30 seconds (giving the player enough time to head to their arena of preference), the event will begin.

This would be a classic Boss Rush; as soon as you defeat a boss, the next one spawns after a roughly 10 sec delay. If the player dies or quits the game, the event immediately and unsuccesfully ends, and the player must wait for the Cosmic Cultist to respawn at midnight in order to reattempt it. The bosses don't drop any new items, simply posing as a final challenge for the player to test out their endgame build.

Yo is that Jake? I knew him way back in summer camp. We took a camp class together on how to ascend to the infinitely vast expanse of void that is m̶y̶ ̶s̶o̶u̶l̶ space
 
A nice idea i had is to buff every boss in here
For the pre-hm bosses (king slime, eoc, etc.), a 200% health increase and 50% damage increase would be enough so they cant just vanish the moment you pull out the zenith.
Then the hard mode bosses increases only 100% of their health and 25% damage bonus, so its not unfair but still challenging.
For moon lord and him only, 50% health buff and no damage increase.
what yall think?

Amazing idea but still a bit pointless, you can fight stronger bosses, but there have to be a special reward or rewards, maybe sold by this NPC.
- Maybe an item that unlocks a secret seed that increases the difficulty, changing the bosses to those with special AI but without endgame stats (just higher than legendary), not sure about this difficulty's boss rush though, probably just make them red and increase the stats even more, but no further reward for beating it (or maybe unlock these bosses with higher stats and add an HP multiplier slider in the world creation, color changes depending on the multiplier, allowing to infinitely increase difficulty up to 10x (but that won't be that great for sure))
- A mount that allows you to noclip through blocks
- Permanent items like Super Fast Pickaxe or Celestial Hand of Creation and other buffs like another 100 HP increase that you can toggle for current character and select during the character creation (but i feel like it's not going to work well for terraria)

I think King Slime with his 3570x3 which equals to 10710 would still vanish in 1 second. All bosses definitely need to be buffed to be challenging and so they all need to be around the same level, also their AI needs to be changed a bit because duh, you can just fly above the King Slime or outrun any other boss. Make King slime jump higher and more accurately, make EoC dash faster and control it's dash a bit, Retinazer shoots 3 lazers at once and stuff like this

Yeah I forgot to say about the Ai part in my comment, but Overall make their ai less predictable and more powerfull and stuff

Also i think its weird that you suggested more stuff after the Boss rush, like I can find doing something usefull with the noclip item, which i think its op but could chance, but the +100 hp? Not that much. And the secret seed? just go play getfixedboi or just rework master mode with better boss ai and better loot instead of being a secret seed
