so there's this bug (or a garbage feature literally no one asked for) if you click anywhere near a minecart track you hook to it
this bug can make building using minecart tracks a nightmare.

yeah i hate this too, but it'll be harder to ride a track if they changed it

Thanks for the report! Though some oversensitivity is intentional in our version, we currently have a bug logged related to being able to interact with tracks while holding them in your inventory. This should hopefully be addressed in a future patch.
