TV The Owl House

Enjoyed it so much, one of the best things to come out disney in a while in my opinion. Was very disapointed when it got cancelled and then got that rushed ending, but it was still a pretty good ending considering the circumstances surrounding the show. Just really funny, engaging and quality stuff, would reccomend it a lot if you haven't seen it.

this show was so awesome but i disliked the fact that nearly ALL the main/semimain characters were lgbtq+

i naver watched the 3rd season i gotta do that
Gotta agree with you somewhat. I didn't really dislike it, more so it mildly irked me.

i put a king vanity set in my mod

King is Cill Bipher???
Alex Hirsch made Gravity Falls and already voiced a number of characters in that. At the time of the shows making he was dating Dana Terrace as well as the fact that most of the people who worked on Gravity Falls also ended up working on Owl House and so he was able to voice a :red: ton more characters in that. My favorite of all time though has to be Steve the emperors coven member.

Same, tbh

wow.

seriously? just gonna air out your prejudice right here, huh?

gods forbid people like us get ANY representation and are allowed to exist, huh? %-_-

the way people are so comfortable with saying they hate non-straight and non-binary people is endlessly infuriating.

well, when you watch shows made BY the LGBT+ community, you're going to see people like us.

that's like complaining about birds existing while going bird-watching... or hating fireworks while going to a fireworks show.

bro bro I never said I HATE gays i just dislike how its in nearly every show I watch

plus even if disney is an LGBTQ+ company now I dont like how they feel its required to be in all of their shows

I mean like i've watched shows where i notice theres no gays, and then disney realizes too and makes sure to put atleast 1 in the new episodes

when did all this become relevant because in shows like phineas and ferb theres 0 traces of any of this and i've not really noticed it until like 2020

I'm completely free to express dislike towards LGBTQ spam in media I don't really care about irl people being gay as long as they don't harrass me about it so you do you and let me do me

it's prejudice, regardless... non-straight and non-binary people exist, they're in real life, they've been around for as long as history has and even before, it's just in more recent years that the world finally started accepting their existence.

so naturally, they're going to appear in media just like straight and cis people... there is NO reason to complain about that.

i don't see ANY difference between complaining about this, and complaining about people of a different skin color.

in the end, you're expressing prejudice toward people different than you.

I said this mainly because it was noticeable, but also because I, myself, am not gay(or something like that, as far as I'm aware.), and only irks me because of that fact. I'm fine with other people being gay....

...so I'm sorry about making you upset.

you don't realize how messed up that is, though?

"because it was noticeable"? what, like straight people aren't noticeable? all the kissing and straight relationships in EVERYTHING?

it's fine for us to exist, as long as no one KNOWS we exist?

you were upset because you were watching something with non-straight people, because you're straight?

it's not like non-straight people get upset just because we're watching something with straight people.

this isn't about upsetting me, it's about how screwed up this is, and how you all don't seem to realize it.

this isn't normal... it SHOULDN'T be normal.

luz and amity's relationship was beautiful, so was eda and raine's... but because they're non-straight/non-binary... people are upset over it?

because willow has two dads, they shouldn't have been on screen at all, or something?

real families like that exist in real life, why should they not exist and be shown in fiction?

Just gonna go past previous discussions, the show's pretty great, I watched it in late 2022 and it was really enjoyable.
