PS Vita Truffle Trouble

You can check if a house is valid by using the housing interface. go in the house and press the Square button.
 
The main thing to be aware of is that your truffle housing needs to be above sea level. It's easiest to equip a GPS and check, but if you don't have one just eyeball it on your map. Making sure the mushroom house I wanted to move the truffle into was above sea level was the only way I could get him to spawn on Vita.
