Is Minecraft Steve or the Terraria Player stronger? I have the answer.

copied over from another thread.

Well, let's see.

A block is 2ft^3. So, we can then compare the size of a coin to the size of a block.

Wow. Coins are pretty big.

If a block is 8 "pixels" (terrarian pixels are actually 2x2) across and is 2 feet wide, and a coin is 7 pixels across, then a coin is 1.75 feet wide. Coins are 8 pixels tall, so they are 2 feet tall. Those are some REALLY big coins.

For our purposes, we'll assume terrarian coins have the same length:thickness ratio as an American Quarter Dollar. This makes a terrarian coin 0.068435754189944 feet thick.

Doing some math to find the volume of the coin, and we find it has a volume of 0.153980446927374ft^3. This is 4360.2407cm^3.

Now, we use the density of copper, 8.933 grams per cubic centimeter, to find just how much a terrarian copper coin weighs.

It's 38950.0301731 grams. That's a pretty heavy coin.

Now, there are 1,000,000 copper coins in a platinum coin, which stack up to 999. The player has 59 inventory slots, including the main inventory (50), coins (4), ammo (4), and trash (1). Coins can fit into all of these. We'll add one more slot, putting it up to 60, since a player can have an item held by their cursor, as well as a full inventory.

So, let's do the math.

1,000,000 (number of copper coins in a platinum coin) x 999 (number of platinum coins per stack) x 60 (number of stacks of 999 platinum coins the player can hold) x 38950.0301731 (weight of a single terrarian copper coin) gives us the mass of all those coins to be...

2,334,664,808,575,614 grams! That's a lot of mass!

Unfortunately, that makes The Player significantly weaker than Steve, who can lift

*ahem*

Kilograms.

And that's just a single block. Multiply that by 64 (max stack size) and inventory size (27 slots + 9 hotbar slots + 4 inventory crafting slots + one cursor carry, so 41 slots total), and add the mass of a full set of golden armor (51,520 KG), and you get...

Conclusion? The Player needs to hit the gym if he wants to get even close to Steve's level.

Hmm, pretty nice comparison! I want more of these.

A block in terraria is slightly heavier/larger.A titanium bar...I don't know how much it is.Next,i think the most expensive thing in titanium bars is...The chainmail. It's 26 bars. But let us see.A minecraft player has 40 slots. The terraria player has 51 slots to store the Titanium bars.Titanium bars can be placed and are larger than a regular coin.Assuming titannium bars are made with 5 titanium ore(Which is still bigger than a coin),a titanium bar is 5x the weight of titanium ore.Since titanium bars are placeable they are a slightly bit bigger than titanium ore.Now i let you do the math about this. But wait.Chlorophyte bars are made with 6 chlorophyte ore.It means that a chlorophyte bar is 6 times heavier than it's ore counterpart.Next step.Mix it with 15 glowng mushrooms for shroomite, which is heavier. Now carry full shroomite armor. It's 54 bars.Carry as vanity chlorophyte armor.Next the rest would be shroomite bars in your inventory. In the ammo you can put chlorophyte arrows, and as coins 999x4 platinum coins. So that is the HEAVIEST things you can have in your whole inventory.

I'm pretty sure the actually-thousands-of-copper-coins platinum coins weight more than chlorophyte. And, considering chlorophyte is a type of algae in the real world, I doubt it weighs very much.

Also, a terrarian block is 2 feet by 2 feet by (presumably) 2 feet. A Minecraft block is 1m (or, about 3'3") x3.

Don't know if this was already said but the terrarian can carry 29970 gold bricks. And Steve can only carry 1728 gold blocks.

Except Steve can carry 1728 golden apples (8 gold blocks + 1 apple), or even 1728 lapis lazuli dyed banners with golden apples added (6[I think] golden apples + 2/3 lapis lazuli blocks + 6 wool + 1 stick. And that's not even going into the NBT depth limit chests.

Go carry in yyour inventory all the stuff i said. Now calculate the weight.

No real life logic,please.Rather maths.

What is the point of this thread? There are so many arguments inside this mythical realm, the Internet, like Minecraft is better! No! Terraria is better! Or IOS is better! No! Android is better! Point is, why can't we all just get along. And if you have tried one, but not the other, then you have NO right to say that the other game is worse than yours. Minecraft and Terraria are both great sandbox games, I play both of them frequently, love both of them, and if you guys do also, then good for you! If you have only played Minecraft, or Terraria, then go play the other! If you like one, you will most likely like the other, because they both have similar elements. Please stop these unnecessary arguments about unimportant topics!

I just figured out,
You only used copper coins, not saying when they turn into silver or gold,in fact even platnum, their weight would change to the respective,or just change/add up
Plus you didn't add accessories, who knows how heavy that ankh/Paladin shield is...
You could also put in armor,if you could figure out how much they could weigh

But... no one was arguing about which game is better...

I was bored and decided to do some math on a video game character. 12 pages later and everything has spiraled deeper and deeper out of control.
Well,i hope that didn't took you too long, dood.

Yes,maybe equipping accesories and armor may make it heavier.

But... no one was arguing about which game is better...
Yes,no one was talking about which game's better...

This comment's pointless,as we weren't even talking about which game is better...
...But about how heavy would be the terraria player in comparison to the minecraft player a.k.a Steve.

Except, rather than basing it on coins, why not base it on things like, let's say, a Hallowed Bar, along with the Hallowed Armor. How heavy would THAT be in a full inventory?
