First of all I am new to the forums and have only just started getting into spriting, so don't expect too much.
I had a cool idea for a boss that would drop materials to make three different melee armor sets. One will have much higher damage and knockback but slower melee speed, one will have higher melee speed and good damage but less knockback, and the last will have decent damage and melee speed but also able to inflict knockback on bosses (which might be overpowered) All armors will be obtained in hardmode, from a boss fought after the mechanical bosses.
The Heavy Knight Armor set (not good with names) This armor set will have the higher damage output and lower melee speed.
Helmet:
20 Defense
+20% melee damage
-10% melee speed
7% increased critical strike chance
Breastplate:
20 Defense
+20% melee damage
-20% melee speed
Greaves:
17 defense
+20% melee damage
-10% melee speed
+7% increased movement speed
Total:
57 defense
+60% melee damage
-40% melee speed
+7% increased critical strike chance
+7% increased movement speed
The Shining knight armor set, increased melee speed, lower damage and knockback.
Helmet:
18 defense
+20% melee speed
+5% melee damage
+7% critical strike chance
Breastplate:
20 defense
+20% melee speed
+3% melee damage
Greaves:
16 defense
+20% melee speed
+2% melee damage
+2% critical strike chance
Total:
54 defense
+60% melee speed
+10% melee damage
+9% critical strike chance
Lastly, the Blood knight armor set (Dark knight was too obvious) the armor that can send bosses flying.

19 defense
+10% melee speed
+10% melee damage
+10% critical strike chance

The boss
Sorry for small picture, I can't change the size.
I think It should have 70000 health
and it should do about 100 damage on contact (150 in expert)
The boss will have two "hands" one is a shield that deals 0 damage but will always inflict knockback.
The other "hand" is a large sword that will charge the player, spin around then charge again, the body will try to stay back most of the time but will occasionally charge the player dealing the amount of contact damage shown above.
The sword have 20000 health while the shield has 25000 (too much? I am not as good with boss stats)
The sword will deal around 100 damage (150 in expert)
In expert mode the boss's sword hand will sometimes shoot out sword beams and the shield will charge you dealing roughly 100 damage.
When the boss is defeated he will drop 20-25 souls of right which are used to craft the armors.
To craft the armors you will need souls of right and some materials dropped by enemies around the world.
The Heavy knights armor set requires about 20 Heavy plates which drop from possessed armors, armored skeletons found underground, and tortoises, each enemy drops 3-4 plates.

The shining armor set requires 20 cores of chivalry which drop from enemies in the hallow, each enemy drops 0-2 cores.

The blood armor requires 20 cores of death which drop from monsters in the corruption or crimson, each monster drops 0-2 cores.

Each armor requires 15 souls of right.
If you combine the three armors with ectoplasm and some additional cores or plates, you will get the Honored knights armor.

22 defense
+5% melee damage
+5% melee speed
+5% critical chance
Breastplate:
26 defense
+5% melee damage
+5% melee speed
+5% critical chance
Greaves:
22 defense
+5% melee damage
+5% melee speed
+5% critical strike chance

a little bit bigger than chlorophyte claymore.

Crafted with the blood knights broadsword, shining blade, and the heavy knights sword (haven't shown these yet)
The sword can be crafted with a broken hero sword to get True Honor's right.
