also does mage get better in hardmode?

We are doing factions kind of and I want my team to thrive in the world.

Basically any equipment I can get that is better.

I am in pre hardmode with friends and one of them is a summoner. The Spinal Tap whip is what they are using. I am using Flamelash and I have Jungle Armor. Any tips?

i have port forwarded, i have a static ip like the wiki says but still my friend still can't join. What I used to join works for me but not for him. i checked the dedicated server config and the port is 7777 but the ip wont work for him. if i could get help on this i would be grateful. thanks.
