    Let me get this out of the way: I love melee. Always do my first go of a mod as melee unless it adds a new class and the character I’ve put the most effort into is melee focused.
    With that out of the way, melee range is too high. Weapons like the enchanted sword, flying dragon, north pole, and daybreak? That’s not melee!

    Terraria's class system struggles to be sensible and balanced at ðe same time. It could be sorted into melee (true melee, whips), range (most melee, all ranged, most magic), & summons (minions). But how do you balance 1 class and damage type having most of ðe game's weapons & not having to get close to mobs, while one is just for support & ðe oðer is just early game weapons? You don't.
