NPCs & Enemies Pugilist: Neutral NPC that helps you fight.

Terrarian
The Pugilist is an NPC that can be spawned in a house when the player has at least 250 health. He resembles a shirtless man with tanned skin, blue shorts, and brown spiky hair. The Pugilist is uniquely seen with his fists always in a fighting position, even when talking to him normally. His eye color is brown, but it can turn red in certain instances, namely during sparring matches.

The Pugilist is neutral to most NPCs, but there are a couple of exceptions; for instance, the Pugilist actively dislikes all combat related NPCs, like the Arms Dealer and Demolitionist. The Pugilst dislikes these two because he doesn't like using weapons involving range or magic, and considers their styles cowardly. However, the Pugilist loves two NPCs; the Dye Trader and the Party Girl. The Pugilist seems to have a crush on both characters, indicating he is bisexual. If both NPCs are present, he admits to finding it hard to pick one to pursue.

The Pugilist offers a shop interface and a sparring interface. The battle interface allows you to do sparring with the Pugilist, but there are a couple of rules. First of all, a sparring match cannot occur when an event is happening, or if a boss is summoned. The next rule is that it cannot be raining outside.

However, there is a very important rule; during a sparring match, no weapons of any class are allowed to be used, as the Pugilist will automatically forfeit the match when this occurs (he says "Hey! What did I say about using those things?"). Weapons are naturally cleared from the player hotbar during the start. That being said, accessories with special attacks, like the Star Veil, are acceptable. Armor is also allowed.

The Pugilist gives you boxing gloves to fight him with. The goal of the game is to defeat the Pugilist, lest you get defeated yourself. Boxing gloves deal low damage and cover little range, but attack fast. The Pugilist is strong, and can do uppercuts and combos. He has about 500 health, and your boxing gloves deal about..6-7 damage. A melee focused player can do well here..maybe. Melee knockback and speed is affected in the brawl class of boxing damage.

If you "defeat" the Pugilist, he will congratulate you, and give you 10 gold. He will also give you the boxing gloves for free with noticeable upgrades; it deals 12 damage, and you do cool combos with it (including kicks and uppercuts). Otherwise, you pay a bit for them; losing also gets you mocked and gives you a dunce hat to put on. Defeating the Pugilist in subsequent rounds increases health and difficulty of attacks on his end, and will also give you better weapons; boxing gloves - brass knuckles - iron cestuses - chainclaws (chainsaw claws). Gold drops also increase a bit each time.

You learn cool battle moves over time with him, like lariats/uppercuts, kicks, and even grabbing the enemy and tossing it. You just need boxing weapons to do this feats, or even an empty hand. Some boxing weapons offer special abilities. Boxing weapons are considered melee, but lack range.

The Pugilist can sell boxing weapons, strength boosters, strength potions, and things like that.

The Pugilist has a kind of jockish personality, but seems to care about you.

He boxes enemies around him and deals very good damage. A Pugilist uniquely has 500 health when outside of combat with you.

Names:
Aaron, Alexander, Demetrius, Lysander, Martin, Stephen, Sebastian,

Any kind of assisting NPC would be nice especially if it requires quest to build a relationship.
Thanks!

Lore of the Pugilist:

His family mocked him from being weak, but they died in front of him from the hands of the Wall of Flesh. The Pugilist blames himself for it, and feels remorse for not being able to fight them off, so he got strong. Trauma from the forces of evil using magic and weapons made him hate any weapons that weren't just his fists.

"It should have been me..they died because of me.."

If you kill the Wall of Flesh, he will comment "So the Guide has ties to that evil fleshy Wall? I'm gonna beat him up". He gains a negative relationship with the Guide. Sometimes he kills him offscreen.

The Pugilist calls you a God if you kill the Moon Lord.
