The average lava is about 1,600 °F. Acetelyne (The stuff Toothless' and I'd plasma is made out of) burns at 6,200. Hot enough to melt Tungsten, which melts at 6,186 °F I believe.

I can only melt from the inside at 20,00 *F.
My outside melts at 5000 *F.
