i actually went and put dirt under the right side and put a platform staircase up to the right door

Somewhat similar to a style of house I did when I used to play Minecraft. At least, with the basic structure of it.

By the way, a wall combination I personally like is two tiles of stone slab wall and the rest being normal wood. Looks pretty nice.
