I appreciate Re-Logic's efforts to spruce the desert up a few updates ago, but I feel it is somewhat lacking. The stuff you get out of it is in no way required, or even all that useful (IMO) to the core progression of the game and is easily skipped 'cept for crate potions and easy gold chests near the beginning of the game.
