All of the pre-existing souls use, at most, around like 6 frames.
Why?

Maybe more frames = more strain on processing power needed? Maybe Re-Logic wanted Terraria to be playable on old, old computers and/or make it easy to port to lesser-powered devices? That, and really, you shouldn't need more than 6 frames for a floating object.
