I'm using Cheat Sheet to boost the spawn rate up to 30x for the whole playthrough, and I funneled all the zombies that would spawn into a small area and used jester arrows to massacre them all. I'm also using the Deadly Crits mod, which makes crits much rarer but much stronger.

Jester arrows are a thing of beauty. The only projectile whose limitation is the duration. If timed well, it works WONDERS against worm-type mobs.

I'm also going to add that it makes earlygame goblin armies more of a joke if you have a good supply of them and a decent bow to go with it (crimson/demon is a plus). All you need is a level surface.

Well then, sweet! I have a pit trap set up in my base (no lava yet though - haven't made my way down that far), so I should be able to just funnel them into there and have at it. I made a cheesy one-way shooting hole with a sloped platform, so they wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
