A really deep pit that i didn't see, so i fell into it. It was deep enough that even with my protection 3 iron armor i would have died, but i had a water bucket in my inventory. So in the span of about 1.5 seconds i realized i was falling, looked down, scrolled to my bucket, and managed to place the water down RIGHT before i hit the ground, saving my life.
