I'm pretty sure moonlord was originally gonna be Cthulhu but I think there he was to hard or there was something wrong with him

I think that the lore of Terraria says that the Moon Lord is Cthulhu, as it states, "Ultimately, this substantial damage forced Cthulhu to the dark side of the moon, where it dwells to this day, gathering strength for another attempt at total conquest."
