I can vouch for the coolness that is the SN30 Pro Plus. I will warn you though, the cord is only 3 feet long. Might want a USB extension cable, or get another Type C cable that's longer if your PC is any distance away from you.

And yes, if you wanna do any sort of 2D gaming especially platformers, D-pads will always be more responsive and precise than thumbsticks.
