It's apparently a hot take by people who did such, because they will talk like "peer pressure" was something they had no control or power over, that they were "compelled" to give in. I've run into some said people who get angry if you imply that they had a choice to not give in.

Learned that the hard way. You can't control how anyone except for yourself on how to act. Giving in to peer pressure is still YOUR decision and all it does is ruin your life.
