He really didnt think that plan through very well, odd how he is such an organised killer and made such a rookie mistake.

Someone posed the theory a while ago that he used the Springtrap suit for the murder of the 5 children, and that he thought it'd work just as good this time to scare off the children...but it didn't.

While the second part is probally he freaked out and the suit was all he has in his disposal, silly fear it makes you do stupid stuff.

As for the theory i know its springtrap, i cant go into detail or ill run this chat into the grave with five pages of description so ill just quickly give reason. Golden freddy is impossible to be worn, at least at its current condition, but springtrap can be worn.
