Did they fix the ending to 02 yet? Or is the rock star still an astronaut?

I'm not really sure how they plan on continuing the story without rewriting history, and even then it's kind of sad that you'll be looking at 02 and saying 'lol troll ending'. But whatever, I hated it anyway.
