PC 1.3 Achievement Suggestions!

"Van Helsing" - One-hit-kill a Vampire with the Stake Launcher.
"Sleepy Hallow" - Kill the Headless Horseman in the Hallow biome.
*in reference to the two single most bada$$ legendary characters ever*
 
Sharing is Caring-Share your room with an NPC
NO!!!!-Lose your character in Hardcore mode.
Scavenger-Pick up items that have fallen on the ground for a long time
Don't lose faith-Beat a boss with 10-20 hp.
Not even close-Kill a boss without losing hp.
Dodged a bullet-Stop a Guide Voodo Doll from falling in lava from a killed Demon.
 
Adventurer: Join to game
Miner: Destroy a block
Fisher: Create/ get a fishing rod
Butcher: Kill 1 enemy
Slayer: Kill 1 boss
Alcemist: Create a potion
:naughty:
 
This may or may not have already been suggested, but I thing a cool achievement would be obtaining an item dropped from an NPC that was killed (Peddler's Hat, Red Hat... or even maybe loot from the WoF)

I don't know how the Xbox 360 achievement system works, but I would guess if ever, probably sometime next year. You'll first have to wait until it comes out on PC first.

he is a pirate: equip full pirate vanity (reference)
gone fishing: beat duke fishron in over 10 minutes
true terrarian: beat dungeon guardian
high artillery: beat any mob w/ over 100 hp and 10 def with grenades
HAK-R: use the hoik :cool:
 
Settlement: Gain your first NPC
Village: Gain 5 NPCs
Town: Gain 10 NPCs
City: Gain All NPC's

Tamer: Gain a Pet

Champion: Reach wave 15 in an event

Hardmode: Reach Hardmode

Bargain: Purchase something from the Traveling Merchant (Only the items, not the building materials)

Darkest Blade: Craft the Night's Edge

Lightest Blade: Craft the Hollowed Sword

Virtuous: Cleanse the world of Evil (0% Corruption/Crimson)

Siren: Fall for the Beauty of the Nymph

Narcissist: Put on Three Vanity Items

Overkill: Kill a Green Slime with 300 damage or more.

Just a Few suggestions :)
 
How about some completionist awards such as

Blademaster: Own all swords in the game

Gatekeeper: Possess all biome keys

Or some hardcore achievements

Not me!: Beat every boss every boss without dying more than twice

Ultimate Ninja: Kill the Wall of Flesh with no armour/ more than 150 health

Here are some ideas
Try Hard: Acquire all of the items you get from the special hardmode chests ( scourge of the corruptor, rainbow gun etc..)
Trapper: kill an enemy with a trap (dart trap, spike trap)
Christmas Time: Have Santa Claus as an NPC while at the same time holding the Christmas sword and hook as well as the reindeer bells
Down in the Dump: Trash 1000 items
2 cool 4 school: Get the sunglasses
Overkill: Kill a green slime with a sniper rifle
Be Social: Join a multiplayer server
Man Overboard: Drown during the pirate invasion
To much money: Get 100 platinum
